Fred is still with us, although I wouldn't be at all surprised if he decided to run away from home. Poor Fred has suffered a few indignities since he moved into the pot.
Fred gets handled a lot. Especially when J is home, because J can't resist Fred. He even gave Fred a plastic lizard to be his girlfriend. Or boyfriend. Fred hasn't told us if he's straight or gay. Fred's secretive like that.
Fred has also been discovered by the cats. One cat doesn't pay attention to Fred, because he doesn't move around as fast as a mouse or a bird, so he is not very exciting prey. Another cat is scared of Fred. Maybe she thinks Fred will bite her nose. The evil cat likes to torture Fred - specifically by jumping in his pot and peeing on him. Poor Fred.
